The easiest way to make your own clothes is to go to the fabric store and pick out a pattern. You can measure yourself, usually your waist, to make sure that the pattern is your size. They'll have a tape measure there unless the fabric store is just a front for a drug operation. The pattern will have directions with it, saying what kind of fabric works best, et cetera. while your there, you should pick out what fabric you want to use also. you can't do much with the pattern without it.

Then, you can take the pattern home, with the fabric you bought also. Follow the directions on the pattern, which probably say something like: cut the pattern out, pin it onto the fabric, and cut the fabric. Make sure the pattern has left allowances for seems. If not, you probably want to leave 1/2 inch everywhere your going to sew.

Then fire up your sewing machine and start to make your own clothes.
